Holy Linux Drivers Batman!

Ok, as some of you know, I am a huge supporter of Open Source software. and how much further can you go with open source than, you guessed it, a free OS. Linux. The bad thing is, Linux doesn't support near as many hardware devices as Windows or Mac. That is where my story begins. A man from France by the name of Michel Xhaard, a 60 year physician. This man has written a total of 352 drivers for webcams in Linux. Now, to anyone outside of the development community, this may not mean anything. But to anyone who knows anything about writing drivers, you know this guy has put in alot of work.

You can see his website along with a complete list of his drivers here!

Today

I went to the Flea Market a few miles from my house. Didn't really do much. Bought an old George Carlin Album to hang on my wall. Along with Dennis Leary, he's one of my favorite comedians. Also, stopped at a head shop up there and bought some incense and stuff.

On a technology note. Here's a warning. No one put their hard earned money into that Vista Cluster-fuck, it's a shitty OS almost comparable to Windows ME. Just trying to save you a few hundred bucks.

Up for a game of lost?

Well, last night I found a really great game. It's called lost. Basically you get points by getting people to sign up for the game through your account. Once seven Million people have created an account, 5000 dollars will be given to the person with the most sign ups, 500 dollars to each of the ten people below him, and there will be a special prize for whoever sends in the most artistic way of inviting someone.

So what are you waiting for? Sign up now!

( And yes, that is MY invite code, so you will be giving me points. Hey, at least I was honest.)

Wireless Energy

Ok, heres one I've been interested in for some time now. A bunch of scientists have been researching sending energy wireless. There have even been a few "working" commercial models supposedly. Like this one.

But I'm still kind of Skeptical of this. I mean, you would think that the beam would be inconsistent.

Has anyone tried this out? Please leave any experiences in a comment.
